My Wedding and Event Sitter is an instant matching platform designed specifically for weddings and events. Parents, couples, or event organisers can submit a booking request for any children attending the event — this does not need to be limited to their own children.
When making a booking, you’ll provide details such as the number and ages of children, event date, location, timings, and care requirements. Babysitters create profiles and set their availability and rates.
Our platform matches parents and babysitters based on availability, experience, location, and appropriate legal childcare ratios. For larger or more complex bookings, our team may manually review matches to ensure children are cared for safely and babysitters are properly supported.
All babysitters must hold a minimum clear DBS check and complete a video call with our team before joining the platform. During this call, we discuss experience, suitability for wedding and event childcare, and how bookings work.
Matching is based on availability, experience, location, and legal childcare ratios. Babysitters are only matched when their availability calendar is kept up to date, helping ensure reliable and accurate bookings for parents.
Creating a profile and joining the platform is completely free for babysitters. Babysitters set their own hourly rates and can accept bookings with no upfront costs.
Parents pay a 50% deposit at the time of booking, with the remaining balance due 7 days before the event. Babysitters on a free profile have a 15% platform fee deducted per completed booking, while subscription babysitters (£5.99 per month) keep 100% of their earnings and receive additional benefits.
Booking a babysitter is simple. Parents submit a booking request with details about their event, the number and ages of children, location, timings, and any specific care requirements.
Based on this information, our platform aims to instantly match you with suitable babysitters who are available and appropriately experienced for your event, ensuring safe childcare ratios are met.
